Frank West Fighter 2: Hyper Rumour Edition

Check and mate!
I have to calm myself down a little bit here, and add a qualifier to the beginning of this post.
Destructoid has posted up a rumour, handed to them by a forum tip-off, that zombie-killing, war-covering Capcom hero Frank West might be included in the upcoming fighter Tatsunoko Vs Capcom.
The game’s Japanese website had included the filenames of the yet to be confirmed game characters as part of the site’s Javascript, which along with showing the currently announced characters, also included these little gems:
- ‘images/oncharactor_btn_zero.jpg’
- ‘images/oncharactor_btn_frank.jpg‘
- ‘images/oncharactor_btn_ken.jpg’
- ‘images/oncharactor_btn_chas.jpg’
The code has since been replaced, which only adds to everyone’s suspicions that this is a genuine leak. Astute guesswork is basically confirming “btn_frank” as Frank West, which can only leave us to contemplate: if Frank is in this game, what chance will the other characters have? That son of a gun has covered wars. By the time they power up their first combo, Frank will have flip-kicked their heads off and torn out their intestines.
However one-sided the game might be if this is true, you can only admire the way in which a game can go from obscure to WANT with one little rumour.
