To celebrate the release of The Beatles: Rock Band, Microsoft and Harmonix have begun a charity auction of a Beatles 360 console.

While I’m not a crazy Beatles fan, the console just looks jaw-droppingly cool.  Almost too good to be spoiled by plugging it in and using it.  It’s hand painted with a crazy amount of detail, showing off the Fab Four in three seperate panels.  Small wonder that the auction is currently sitting on $3200.

The proceeds of the auction are to be donated to Medecins Sans Frontieres (or Doctors Without Borders, if you’re against the French language) at the request of Paul and Ringo.  To add to this, Harmonix will be donating all proceeds from the “All You Need Is Love” DLC track.

If you’re not feeling particularly altruistic today, you can even help by being selfish.  Anyone downloading “All You Need Is Love” automatically gives themselves a chance to win one the Beatles consoles, along with a Rickenbacker 325 replica guitar controller.

Take a look at the eBay listing, and start breaking some piggy banks if you want this little slice of Beatle-mania.
