The joys of online polls

Scores are correct at the time of posting. Not to be taken internally.

There are some days when 4chan *cough* eBaums, dark heart of the internet, uses it’s undirected power to make you laugh.

Today is one of those days.

So in a moment of originality, GameSpot have put up a “Greatest Game Hero Of All Time” poll (you know, kind of like the one running on absolutely every major site ever).  Up until now, the results have been kind of what you’d expect: Mario, Cloud, Pikachu, Snake, all the likely suspects make it through by landslides.

Well thanks to a few beautiful trolls co-ordinating their efforts, to seems like today’s poll is heading towards an upset, with Xbox fanboy icon Master Chief being steadily out-voted by Bubble Bobble duo Bub and Bob.

This tier of the online poll still has two days to go, which may be longer than many an Anonymous’ attention span, but with any luck someone will get bored, create a script and simply let it run poor old Master Chief into the ground.  Until that time (when of course, your puny human votes will be considered pointless) maybe you’d like to lend a hand to helping Bub and Bob gain a little recognition for their work.
